Bulacan is known for its rich culinary culture. Even as the Pandemic took its toll, interesting food businesses were born in the Province with the aim to cater to the needs of consumers while embracing diversified food concepts this new normal.

This year, SM Center Pulilan extends its support to local food business and facilitate entrepreneurial opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by rolling out Food Fest 2020, highlighting thriving local food businesses that are gaining popularity this Pandemic.

It was a gustatory journey as foodies all over the province enjoy a range of emerging food concepts all in one venue— heavenly cakes and pastries at B’s Sweets & Treats, oriental delicacies of Korean Kimbites; the taste of Japan at Maki Craze Sushi Bar, and Ssamjang Korean Grill serving authentic Korean favorites.  There were signature Baked California Maki and Black Kutsinta at Sweet Confections and Bibingka ni Ka Rick in time for the Holiday season. These local businesses have their own online shops, offering delivery, for the consumers’ convenience.

Participating food stalls also bring in exciting special promos as well as dine-in deals so foodies can indulge in their cravings and satiate their taste buds from their favorite restaurants and food stalls.

This Pandemic proves how Bulakenyos explore possibilities when it comes to food. We can see this through the diversified food concepts at this year’s Food Fest. Aside from this, we believe that by holding such event, we can help support local businesses by providing them a bigger platform to reach a wider community,” shares SM Center Pulilan Assistant Mall Manager Alvin De Galicia.

While food is meant to be enjoyed, shoppers’ safety is still a top priority, as SM Center Pulilan implements limited capacity to observe proper social distancing.
