It’s the time of the year again. The most beloved holiday of all, Christmas may be different this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic and by the recent typhoons that battered our country days ago, still we want to celebrate this season amid this. SM Supermalls know this and as always want to bring joy to the shoppers by putting up wonderful Christmas centerpieces.

Last November 8, SM City Marikina Kicked off its Dazzling Magical Christmas centerpiece to the delight of the shoppers with the lighting of its Christmas Tree. The launch though may be different from previous Christmas tree lighting but the sight of the giant tree is enough to lift the spirit of many.

The launch of the Christmas tree isn’t the only thing you can expect this Christmas as SM bring you joy with holiday discounts and new online shopping experiences as SM wants to be part of your Christmas joys.

As Christmas is about sharing, SM is also launching various activities to share the joy this Christmas:

Nominate a Frontliner

Anyone could nominate a frontline worker at SM’s digitized gift mailbox for some holiday wishes dubbed as #ShareHopeWithSM. The nominated modern day hero may win P10,000 worth of SM Gift Certificates.

Annual gift giving of ‘Bears of Joy’

This year’s bears are inspired by the frontline workers – Kit the doctor who positions for hope, Heart the nurse means love, Ace the soldier stands for unity, and the police officer Max, who resembles strength. For only 200 pesos, you can buy a pair of bears, one to keep and the other to share to a community of charity.

Pamaskong Handog for the OFW

For this Christmas, SM is bringing this campaign to another level and sharing more joy by connecting the OFW with their families so that they can E-celebrate Christmas together.

Christmas Markets

According to SM Marikina’s Mall Manager Francis Brian Cruz, as part of the Kasama ang SM campaign, they are partnering with DTI to put up Christmas Markets that aims to help rebuild local businesses affected by the restrictions of the pandemic with its Buy Local, Go Local campaign.

This year’s Christmas may be far from how we imagine it to be but if we continue to help and uplift each we can bounce forward stronger together.

After the lighting ceremony, SM Marikina’s shoppers were treated to an array of Christmas song favorites by the Psalm of David Orchestra.
