The month of March is officially Fire Prevention Month. In line with this SM City Marikina and the Bureau of Fire Protection collaborates anew to hold the JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS CAMP 2020. In the recently concluded 55th Anvil Awards, SM City Marikina were given a Silver Award for their campaign entitled the Junior Fire Fighters Camp.
The campaign aim to engage SM City Marikina’s young mall-goers and the entire community to get educated on fire safety and emergency response. For this year, a two-day camp was set up at the mall’s Atrium. The event was graced by BFP-NCR Regional Director Chief Superintendent Wilberto Rico Neil Ang Kwan Tiu and Marikina City Fire Marshal Superintendent Bartolome O. Beliran and led by SM City Marikina’s Mall Manager Francis Brian Cruz.

Fire and Ladder game
Disaster Preparedness
Warning Signages and Safety Practices
CPR
Bandaging and Splinting
Collapsed Structure
House Full of Smoke
Rappelling
Firefighting Technique, and
Electrical Safety
Mall goers enjoyed the first day where lots of participants who completed the learning station were given a Fireman’s Ladder game board and a bear.
