As a predominantly Catholic country, the Lenten season is observed in the country. Not as strictly as before as one might observed but when it comes to food a no meat Friday and observation of Holy Week is something many of us adhere to.
Last Friday, we in the family have cravings for something healthy seafood and Salmon came to mind. And when it comes to anything Salmon there’s only Salmon HQ to go to.
For anything Salmon, Salmon HQ offers fresh Salmon delivered at your doorstep. This Friday is no different as the many times we ordered from them. It always never disappoint as we ordered Salmon sashimi presented in a delicately designed Salmon Cake, the half and half Crunchy California/ Aburi Scallops Salmon Ebi sushi baked and yes we finally get to try those cute pockets of temptations which I learned is called Inari, a simmered tofu pockets in sweet and savory dashi based broth stuffed with sushi rice & topped with your favorites. Too bad, they didn’t have Uni that day but their sampler is simply the best.
I get addicted to Salmon sashimi for years now and when it is presented as a delicate cake in roseate form, it is simply to good to eat and tasted fresher, juicier and sweeter. No one, absolutely no one can beat Salmon HQ when it comes to this. And we all know the healthy benefits Salmon has. I’m telling you I can eat this alone.
But wait there is still the best Sushi Baked in this part of town. Since i want to try two flavors at once and appearing not to be too “matakaw” as the description would fit we tried their 1/2 and 1/2 Crunchy California/ Aburi Scallops Salmon Ebi. Yes, its half half of their sushi baked goodness.
The Aburi Salmon Scallops Ebi Sushi Bake is always my favorite at Salmon HQ. The combination of different kinds of seafood and the Salmon HQ way it is prepared is so superb. Seasoned perfectly, the generous amount of scallops is heavenly and the shrimps, wow it is so plumpy and juicy.
Same with the Crunchy California. The Salmon HQ’s recipe comes with that crunchy top is simply the best that no other sushi bake store could replicate. Which I really like and it has a generous amount of ingredients including mango, crab meat, and Japanese rice. Every bite simply melts in my mouth and the flavor explodes with that creamy taste.
The Inari is a revelation. I always see this in mukbang YouTube videos and I’ve been curious for months now. And then I was looking at Salmon HQ FB page and they have it. So we included the Inari Sampler in our order because we have to try everything at once. Their sampler includes Miso Salmon, Spicy Salmon, Shoyu Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Kani Salad, Miso Salmon with Ikura, it was Ikura that they because the Uni is not available that Friday.
When I have that first bites of tofu pockets in Kani Salad, it was so sweet and savory made more savory with the dashi based broth stuffed with sushi rice and the generous toppings of Kani Salad. Whoa! Salmon HQ can take my money anytime.
So if you’re cravings for seafood, salmon this week there is only one place to order and that is Salmon HQ. For order and complete list of their menu look HERE.
