In celebration of 121st Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal and 124th Philippine Independence Day, SM City Taytay together with World Balance and the Association of Tourism Officers of Rizal proudly presents to you, Shoe Art Rizal Edition.

Culled from the previous success of face mask design contest and Barbie in the East among others, this year’s celebration of Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal and Independence Day, is all about shoes. Each town’s artist will paint on and make a canvas on a World Balance shoe. Each World Balance shoe is represented artistically by artisans from the provinces of Rizal.

Here’s an artistic glimpse of each Town and City of Rizal as painted on a shoe. These official entries of this year’s Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal Inter-Town Competition are well-represented by each town’s artist as endorsed by each Muncipality and City’s government unit as well as the the Association of Tourism Officers of Rizal.

Last June 10, 2022, the awarding ceremony was held and a showcase of the talents of the artists of Rizal were presented with a fashion show. Models showcased the shoes in the runway to the delight of the crowd.

Recognition were also given to the participants. After deliberation, these three emerged as the winners:

3rd Place – Cardona, Gunner Estocapio

2nd Place – Binangonan, Ferdinand Bong Anore

1st Place – Angono, Francis Jove Dela Cruz

The shoe  exhibit will be open on June 6 to 12 at the Building A SM City Taytay.
