Job opportunities continued to open up for Filipino workers as SM City Valenzuela mounted a successful Post-Labor Day Job Fair on May 2, drawing a number of applicants eager to secure employment both locally and abroad.

Held in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the event followed the nationwide Labor Day Job Fairs conducted in SM malls on May 1. More than 30 companies from industries including retail, manufacturing, logistics, and customer service participated in the job fair, offering a total of 2,755 job vacancies for local employment and over 2,000 openings for overseas work.

From fresh graduates to experienced professionals, hundreds of job seekers trooped to the event in hopes of landing their next career milestone. Government agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Fund also set up assistance booths to provide support for employment document requirements, making the application process smoother and more accessible.
In line with its commitment to digital empowerment, SM Supermalls also strengthened its partnership with JobStreet by SEEK to integrate online and on-ground recruitment efforts. The collaboration aims to improve job matching and enable faster, more efficient hiring processes across the country.

The Post-Labor Day Job Fair at SM City Valenzuela is part of a broader workforce development effort that highlights SM Supermalls’ continued contribution to economic recovery and nation-building. Through initiatives like this, SM strengthens its role in uplifting communities and fueling long-term growth.
