My memories of Goodah! has always been of good food, a plate of my favorite tapsi or a hearty bowl of soup.. Through the years it has been my cravings and comfort foods.

And through the years it’s more than just a restaurant for me. So, whenever theres a Goodah! sign i get excited! There may be so much changes, busy schedules, and passing years but Goodah! has remained a constant. Fastfoods sprouted everywhere but our cravings for the classics never truly fade.

Goodah! has transitioned from just a place to grab a quick bite into my definitive go-to for comfort food. Recently, I introduced Goodah to my nephews and their friends. It’s a rare miracle to get my nephews to eat anywhere that isn’t a fast-food chain, when I suggested trying Goodah!, I was thrilled they actually agreed. So, off to Goodah in Granada St. they go.

Since one of their friends is heading off to study in Baguio soon, the four of them wanted a memorable send-off meal. Looking at the menu, they immediately craved the classics:

Beef Nilaga – Beef Nilaga is Goodah! Ang ultimate comfort food! Loaded with fork-tender beef shanks, tendon, and vegetables, this Filipino-style soup is hearty and tasty.

Goto Special – Rice Porridge with Tripe and hard-boiled egg

Bilao 1 – a mix of Chicken and Pork BBQ, Lumpiang Shanghai and Jaca Rice

Ribs Silog –  fried marinated ribs with Garlic Fried Rice

While waiting for the orders, they decided to check out the place. Goodah! in Granada is welcoming and big enough for a hearty meal. The current spots hit right for the younger crowd too. Especially the eye-catching wall decor and chairs where they  had fun posing for photos. The place casual, laid-back environment is perfect for having satisfying meals or a gathering for family and friends.

When the food arrived, the table for four was absolutely packed! The Beef Nilaga, Goto Special, Ribsilog  and Bilao 1 with the BBQ Chicken, Pork BBQ  Lumpiang Shanghai and Java Rice looks like ije a feast to them. And also, paired with halo-halo, soda, and leche flan, the verdict was unanimous: “This food is FIRE!!!”

The Verdict: Goodah! isn’t just a core memory for us—it’s officially Gen Z approved.

They’re already planning their next visit to try the famous silogs. Safe to say, we have some brand new Goodah! converts!

Turns out, the “Open 25 Hours” icon still has ultimate rizz.

The next time you want to treat the younger crowd in your family to a meal that satisfies their cravings without breaking the bank, skip the overhyped trendy cafes. Take them to the place that proved classic Pinoy comfort food never goes out of style.
