Continuing to Build Brighter Futures Through Education in Local Communities

As part of the reopening, UNIQLO partnered with ABS-CBN Foundation to support learners from the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program of Malanday Elementary School. Through its ongoing Supporting Brighter Futures Through Education initiative, funded by the proceeds of select AIRism items, UNIQLO continues to invest in better learning opportunities for underserved communities. Malanday Elementary School becomes the third school supported under the program, following previous classroom-building projects in other communities.

The initiative includes a clothing donation drive featuring pre-loved LifeWear items, career talks led by UNIQLO employee volunteers, and donations of tables, chairs, a laptop, monitor, and LED TV, alongside a cash donation to help enhance the students’ learning environment.

This initiative forms part of UNIQLO’s continued commitment to creating a positive impact beyond retail while commemorating the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Japan friendship. Through Japanese innovation, local relevance, and community-focused initiatives, UNIQLO continues to celebrate the enduring ties between the two nations while helping build brighter futures for the next generation.

The reopening of UNIQLO SM City Marikina reflects the brand’s commitment not only to providing better shopping experiences but also to creating meaningful contributions within the communities it serves.
