To better equip its members on the best practices of intellectual properties (IP), the Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines (CCIP) has recently held a workshop with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) at its office in Taguig City, educating attendees on IP management, patenting, and technology transfer.

The workshop is part of IPOPHL’s initiatives to support stakeholders like CCIP in scaling innovation and protecting their intangible assets. To strengthen this, the workshop tackled relevant topics such as IP Management Review and Patentability Requirements by key speaker Dindo Dumali, Intellectual Property Rights Specialist III. Meanwhile, Leidy Caballes gave an overview of Technology Transfer in the Philippines.
Apart from the talks, the workshop gave attendees – consisting of brand owners, Regulatory Affairs Officers, innovation and product specialists, compliance and paralegal officers as well as sales executives – an opportunity to consult directly with the IPOPHL officers to help address unique intellectual property challenges of these companies.
