The security forces of SM Malls in Grand Central, Valenzuela, and Sangandaan, as well as SM Savemore Market in Malabon, reassured mall-goers of safety and security during the recent General Assembly and Joint Tactical Inspection held at SM City Grand Central’s parking lot.
The General Assembly and Joint Tactical Inspection aimed to assess the security manpower skills and to test the training efficiency of the mall’s frontline staff in responding safely, responsibly, and effectively to emergency situations.
During the assembly, SM’s Emergency Response Team (SMERT) demonstrated their readiness and disaster preparedness for potential hazards that could affect customer safety and business sustainability.
Employees and guards who exhibited exemplary behavior by returning money and other valuables to mall patrons were likewise commended and awarded.
The General Assembly and Joint Tactical Inspection is part of the annual exercise conducted by SM to assess personnel compliance with the company’s security standards and policies. This exercise is observed across all SM Supermalls nationwide.
Present to oversee and inspect the security force’s performance were Northern Police District Director PBGEN Rizalito G. Gapas and SM’s Head of Security Affairs Almus J. Alabe.
