Women’s Boxing Icon Claressa Shields makes weight for her mixed martial arts debut

The Professional Fighters League, the fastest growing and most innovative sports league held the official weigh-ins for PFL 4, as the second half of the 2021 PFL Regular Season begins. In the main event, three-division boxing champion Claressa Shields will be making her highly-anticipated mixed martial arts debut, as she faces dangerous grappler Brittney Elkin. In the co-main event, Clay Collard looks to secure his spot in the playoffs when he meets German veteran Joilton Lutterbach.

Shields, considered as the best pound-for-pound women’s boxer in the world, came in at 154.8 pounds. Elkin, who tipped the scales at 155.4-pounds, has the advantage in MMA experience, and will look to shock the world.

Collard, meanwhile, weighed in at  155.8 pounds, and looks to build on his stunning upset win over Anthony Pettis at PFL 1 . Lutterbach, on the other hand, came in at 159.4 pounds, and will try to bounce back and earn his first PFL win.

Also on the card, featherweight prospect Bubba Jenkins, who weighed-in at 145.6 pounds, will look to secure his spot in the PFL Playoffs at the expense of Bobby Moffet, who came in at 146 pounds.
