For foodies with discriminating tastes and always on the look-out for home-cooked dishes, Rafael’s Tapas Bar and Restaurant at Resorts World Manila is the place for you. Rafael’s is a place, as described by owner Entrepreneur Henjie Carmona, “…to come home to not only for familiar but original home recipes that have been leveled up for their discriminating tastes but also to cozy up, chill, and unwind after spending hours playing and gaming.”

Here are 5 reasons why you should dine and unwind at Rafael’s Tapas Bar and Restaurant Resorts World Manila:

Instagrammable Bar and Restaurant

You can already see it once you entered Rafael’s. The whole place is an instagrammable one, for want of a better word, where even if you’re not a millennial will deeply appreciate all the beauty around you. The paintings, the chandeliers and best of all the Rafael’s dishes which are plated with delicate artistry worthy of being photographed and shared.

Rafael’s Specialties

Owner Sir Henjie believes that food is everybody’s game. As he learned early on from his father, over food, everything from deals closed, relationships opened, victories celebrated, wrongs amended, and sins forgiven, nobody really loses with food. That is why he launched Rafael’s  as a place he wants to come home to for His Dad’s original recipes which are all-time familiar favorites that offer a unique twist in taste and presentation like the:

Chicken that Crossed the Road (P380) – served with chili malt vinegar, pickled carrot, and radish puree, which are extra crunchy;

Miss Gump in Hot Flashes (P720) – Rafael’s classy version of gambas, it is served with black garlic and Chardonnay roasted chilis and lemon;

First Love (P1150) – My favourite and a MUST-TRY dish. It is a spicy soft shelled crab risotto with homemade chorizo and chicken thigh charged with lemon—which is as crispy as they are tasty;

Blackened Angus Ribeye (P2900) – prime steak with corn and zucchini succotash and chimichurri sauce—which is the most expensive standalone item on the Rafael’s menu;

The Big Bang Theory (P390) – must-order dessert. It is a delicately sweet triple nut, three-layered cake of butter and dark chocolate cake revelation, their version of “Choc Nut.” Chef Jinggoy Fernando revealed that it is a dessert to complete the Rafael’s experience. Rafael’s newest dessert is the Maja Blanca with caramelized popcorn and ganache (P320) which is absolutely yummy!

Other must-try dishes are Chicken Hitchhiker, Duck Sisig, Smoke Break and many more.

Art, Art Everywhere

Sir Henjie not only has passion for home-cooked dishes he also has penchant for art collecting which is very much evident at Rafael’s. His loving clientele of high rollers, junkets, and the fancy set surely enjoy and appreciate the towering Toto Aguilon wire spires, commissioned paintings from artists Tanya Gaisano Lee and Angelo Tabije, John Lloyd Cruz photographs, red and black draped tables and golden trumpet chandeliers.

Posh Petronila VIP Mezzanine Room

Want a private and VVIP atmosphere? At Rafael’s you can have a private party at its very posh Petronila VIP room where groups of 10 to 15 can avail for a consumable reserve price of P200K! The room comes with the mandatory Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV that can be hooked up to Resort World shows. What more, the sky’s the limit from cocktail drinks at P400 per pop with exquisite bottles of Remy Martin Louis XIII and Dalmore 25!

The Golden Washroom

I know, I know, beside the good food and expensive drinks, I am most fascinated with Rafael’s the golden washroom. It’s amazing to say the least.

Truly at Rafael’s, you can find this rare mall space where you not only find the most original tasting dishes but also the most fastidiously interior decorated restaurant where diners can eat and drink comfortably and it’s a place where you always want to come back to every day because it’s home and the food reminds you of family.
