Ahead of the celebration of World Animal Day held annually every October 4, SM City Taytay, together with Nutri Chunks, holds the first-ever Drive-Thru Pet Blessing at the SM Pet Park today. This also coincides with SM Pet Park’s 3rd anniversary. World Animal Day is an international day of action for animal rights and welfare celebrated annually on the feast day of Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
Rev. Fr. Mario Operario officiated the blessing of more than 150 pets. Participants also received a Drive-Thru Pet Blessing certificate and pawsome loot bags containing pet treats and essentials from Nutri Chunks.
Due to the pandemic, the pet-owners and their pets were only allowed to be inside their vehicles not allowed to get out of their car during the ceremony.
